It has been a little let down since Badwater. Most of my excitement and energy was focused on that. Now it is over. I'll copy my race report in another post. I now must focus my energy on the marathon. I am handling much higher milege than I ever did before, but I don't feel like I am faster. The heat and humidity has made the runs seem harder than it should be. I hope this starts to click soon.

I think all the people training for the marathon this summer are grossly underestimating the toll the heat and humity are taking. Performance charts show a precipitous decline in performance at temperatures above 70 degrees. You've been running in temps around 100 degrees or higher! Now is not the time to assess your capabilities. I bet you'll do fine when the air cools.
